The Sydney Scoreboard is the legacy of the 5th IWG World Conference on Women and Sport, held in Sydney earlier this year. It is a new database that will track the number of women in leadership roles within national sport organisations both nationally and internationally.
In its first round of data collection, the Scoreboard is seeking information relating to women in leadership roles within National Sport Organisations around the world. A national sport organisation for the purposes of the Sydney Scoreboard is the organisation recognised by government and the majority of playing participants as the national representative for that sport eg: Basketball Australia.
In order to make this site meaningful and truly global, they are inviting you to contribute data for the Sydney Scoreboard from your national sport organisation and/or country by using the online form. The basic information they are seeking is:
- the name of the national sport organisation
- the number of women directors of the board and total number of board members
- whether the CEO and/or Chair is a woman.
The Sydney Scoreboard will be officially launched in December 2010. Don’t miss out on your chance to be a part of it.
